Like a painting, a good conversation needs time to settle, to evolve, and to resonate. Trying to quiet the negative and tune in to the positive. In this time of sound bites and rhetoric I am compelled to revisit the Rules of Civility. Etymology is intriguing, too and I love all the synonyms for talking like dialogue and exchange, intercourse and conference. Let us not forget parley.
