“Carefully crafted words can paint a picture; carefully crafted art can tell a story.”  In Conjunction with the Pat Conroy Literary Center, NAWA artists share in the inspiration of Pat Conroy and their own inspirational journeys as painters, photographers, and multi-media artists.

Each work in this exhibition is a small chapter of expression representing that which has motivated each artist to create these 12x12 visual narratives.

Some Like It Hot: Virtual Exhibit

Hot Thoughts, Cold Emotions, Hot Theories and Cold Notions. Art emulating time, place, momentary observation or feeling. A sassy, bold exhibit to kick off the summer, and shake off the pandemic blues.⁣
These works of art emulate time, place, a momentary observation, or a feeling we have universally experienced.“The Story of my life, I always get the fuzzy end of the lollipop,” says Sugar Kane Kowalczyk played by Marilyn Monroe in “Some Like it Hot”. The academy award winning film from 1959 with Jack Lemon and Tony Curtis.⁣

View the exhibit any time by following this link. It runs through Aug. 25, 2020.

My piece is called “Piquant.” It is made with oil and cold wax on a wood panel. 20 x24 inches. $550.
